A Month of Thanks – Day 25: Smiles

There is something so powerfully impactful about a friendly smile.

A smile can change everything. Even in dire circumstances, things are made better with a smile.

Srta. Lidia Cari Ruiz has a smile that lights up a room. As an HBI Program Administrator, she often works at the intersection of our programs and projects. Whether interfacing with staff or aligning partners, Lidia always has a smile.

Lidia’s smile is famous with volunteers – with repeated feedback like “I feel so comfortable when Srta. Lidia is around.” She spends a lot of time with the staff and children at the Casa Girasoles program, and her ability to bring joy to a room is remarkable.

Today we are thankful for our fantastic staff and the work of Srta. Lidia Ruiz. Her smiles are changing the world.
