Casa Girasoles Sanos are two residential care facilities that provide holistic development support and services for formerly homeless and abandoned boys aged 3-18.
The Comunidad Girasoles is a program for young and adolescent boys transitioning out of Casa Girasoles and other residential care facilities as they establish themselves as independent young adults.
The Ines Project for Medically Fragile Children helps the families who care for children with medically complex conditions advocate for themselves and their needs across public health and social support systems.
NEWBORN RESUSCITATION TRAINING PROGRAM
The Newborn Resuscitation Training Program (NRTP) provides standardized training for medical practitioners to effectively learn, participate, and perform neonatal resuscitation on a newborn. The program also “trains the trainers” to create a multiplier effect in decreasing Perú’s neonatal mortality rate.
ALTO CAYMA COMMUNITY COLLABORATION
One of the programs of our Alto Cayma Community Collaboration is the Anemia Prevention and Treatment Project, which focuses on preventing anemia in children. Based on understanding the cultural and social influences that affect community buy-in, the project built a holistic model that could be replicated in the region to stop anemia’s spread among children.
