I am back in Lima. I arrived early this morning. It’s cold and overcast, and the stillness of a Sunday afternoon makes everything feel a bit surreal. It feels like change is happening.
The past 2+ years have been hard. The impact of COVID and the pandemic in Perú has been tremendous. Now, as things shift toward a new normal, we need to formulate the steps of where we go from here.
Our next steps into the new normal are all about embracing our both-and approach to training healthcare trainers and caring for children who have been made vulnerable by neglect, abandonment, or homelessness. We are building the evidence base models that can help to reshape the here and now and fortify a pathway for future generations.
The next steps of our work are pretty clear – but we can’t do them alone. To do this work, we need your help. Please join us in building bridges by attending our October 08 Fundraiser or if you can’t join us in Portland, please make a donation supporting our work.
