Jocabeth Oscátegui Pérez

Child Welfare Specialist, Perú

“It inspires me to know that I’m part of a team doing holistic and sustainable work so the children, adolescents, youth, and young adults of Comunidad Girasoles have a future of hope and well-being.”

One of HBI’s newest team members, Jocabeth brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion. She was born and raised in the city of Cerro de Pasco in the Andean region, and graduated from the National University Daniel Alcides Carrión with a Bachelor of Administration degree with a specialty in Psychopedagogy. In Lima, her social development experience grew while working in the education and rights approach for the private and public sectors. She helped promote access to opportunities and the skills development of children, adolescents, and young people through guidance, support, and monitoring. Her need to learn and serve people better urged her to study a second specialty in Psychopedagogy at the Ricardo Palma University, get a diploma in Guidance and Family Promotion at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and complete other trainings in tutoring, education, and public management in universities such as the Cayetano Heredia University, Universidad Perúana de Ciencias Aplicadas, and Universidad del Pacifico.
